Account Manager – Foodservice / Wholesale

About the Role

Allegria is a premium fresh pasta company with both a consumer and wholesale business. Our handmade products are highly regarded by both customers and clients.

Our wholesale/B2B division supplies large venues, restaurants, caterers, and institutional clients across Melbourne.

We are looking for an Account Manager to manage and grow our existing B2B customer base. This role will start on a casual basis, with a clear pathway to a permanent position if both parties feel it is the right long-term fit.

The focus is on account management, relationship building, and driving growth within existing clients.

Experience in foodservice or hospitality is important, along with an interest in using a digital approach to account management.

This role would suit someone from a chef or hospitality management background looking to move into a more customer-facing, commercial role.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Client Relationships

  • Manage a portfolio of foodservice and wholesale clients (restaurants, catering groups, institutions)
  • Build strong relationships with chefs, buyers, and operators
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all client communication

Operations & Execution

  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
  • Monitor ordering patterns and proactively manage risks

Foodservice Sales & Commercials

  • Identify opportunities to increase order volume, frequency, and product range
  • Support pricing discussions and ensure alignment with agreed commercial terms
  • Monitor margins and product performance within accounts
  • Work closely with leadership on key account strategy

Product & Menu Development

  • Work with chefs and customers on menu development and product feedback
  • Support rollout of new products across existing clients

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years experience in foodservice or hospitality.
  • Experience working with restaurants, distributors, or catering groups
  • *Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness (pricing, margins, volume growth)
  • Comfortable using digital ordering platforms (e.g. Ordermentum, CTB)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)

Job Types: Casual, Temp to perm

Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
