Accounting And Finance Intern

The Accounting and Finance Intern provides support to the finance team in handling daily accounting tasks, financial documentation, and reporting. This role offers practical exposure to accounting processes, financial analysis, and internal controls, helping the intern develop technical and analytical competencies in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and monitoring.
• Prepare and organize financial documents such as invoices, receipts, vouchers, and billing statements.
• Assist in bank reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Help in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and schedules.
• Monitor and track company expenses and assist in expense reporting.
• Provide support during internal and external audits by compiling required documents.
• Assist in payroll documentation and timekeeping verification when necessary.
• Perform basic data analysis and assist in budget tracking.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records.
• Verify financial data and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Coordinate with other departments for finance-related concerns.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and encoding.
• Carry out other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in Accounting, Finance, or any related course.
• Required to complete internship/OJT as part of academic curriculum.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong sense of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to learn, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
