Accounting Intern

Job Summary:

The Accounting OJT will assist the Finance Department in day-to-day accounting tasks and gain practical experience in accounting procedures, financial reporting, and record-keeping. This position is designed to help students apply academic knowledge in a real-world business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in encoding and filing accounting documents such as invoices, receipts, and vouchers.
• Help prepare and organize financial reports, ledgers, and journals.
• Support in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Conduct basic data entry and reconciliation of bank statements and financial records.
• Assist in maintaining and updating accounting records and files.
• Support inventory monitoring and petty cash reconciliation.
• Help in preparing tax documents and compliance reports under supervision.
• Participate in internal audits and inventory checks when needed.
• Perform clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Department.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field.
• Must be endorsed by the school for internship/OJT.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and accounting principles.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information.
• Willing to learn and take initiative.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
