Position Overview:

DB Insurance is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team. In this role, you will assist the accounting team with daily accounting and administrative tasks, helping ensure accurate processing of financial transactions and organized documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounts receivable, check processing, and general administrative support, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the accounting team with daily accounting tasks, including data entry and reconciliations.
• Assist with check deposit processing and help resolve check-related issues.
• Support insurance premium accounts receivable (AR) processing and related documentation.
• Scan and organize accounting and administrative documents for electronic filing.
• Respond to basic customer inquiries via phone and direct them to the appropriate department when necessary.
• Maintain and organize accounting files and supporting documentation.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting team.
• Assist with other ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
