About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Accounts Payable Team.

As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will use your accounts payable experience to perform a range of activities associated with the processing of invoices and payment requests including maintaining the vendor accounts and processing of weekly payruns to ensure the City meets its statutory obligations and obligations to suppliers. You will have experience processing a high volume of invoices and are able to manage your workload to meet tight deadlines.

To be suited to this role you will have:

  • Experience in accounts payable systems and processes with a high volume workload
  • Ability to work accurately with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work within council policy and guidelines

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
