Administrative Officer/Library Assistant - Taree
Introduction:
St Clare’s High School, Taree is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Temporary Part-Time Administrative Officer / Library Assistant (28 hours per week) to join our dedicated team from 20 April to 18 December 2026. This dual-role position includes 8 hours per week supporting our library services and 20 hours per week contributing to the efficient daily operations of our school administration. As a valued member of our staff, you’ll help uphold the strong relationships and student‑centred culture that define St Clare’s—an inclusive, well‑regarded regional high school with a proud history of educational excellence across the Manning and Great Lakes communities.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The School Officer/Library Assistant:
  • As a member of the library team, works to support teachers and students utilising Library facilities and resources
  • As a member of the school team, works to support nominated staff in the performance of their duties
Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
  • Recent experience working in a school library including working knowledge of OLIVER cataloguing system
  • Knowledge of WHS requirements in a library setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to show initiative, work alone or as part of a team
  • A flexible approach to completion of tasks with frequent interruptions
QUALIFICATIONS

  • ALIA accredited qualification, preferably at the diploma level
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025.
