Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Aerial Lift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating aerial lift equipment, such as boom lifts and scissor lifts, to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of materials within warehouse facilities, construction sites, or distribution centers. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and adherence to OSHA safety standards will ensure smooth workflow and uphold the highest safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, warehouse experience, and the ability to coordinate with team members to meet operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate aerial lift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials across various work sites.
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks including order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track materials accurately during handling processes.
- Perform routine inspections of aerial lift machinery to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate heavy lifting activities using clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by following proper procedures during equipment operation.
- Support construction or industrial projects by providing mechanical assistance with heavy equipment such as cranes or load & unload machinery.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and equipment after use.
- Assist in training new team members on safe operation of aerial lifts and related machinery.
Experience
- Proven experience operating aerial lifts such as boom lifts or scissor lifts within a warehouse, construction site, or industrial environment.
- Strong background in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving operations.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and crane systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to aerial lift operation and materials handling.
- Previous experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or roles involving team coordination are advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of load & unload procedures and heavy lifting techniques.
