Afternoon Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a dependable and caring Afternoon Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms during afternoon activities, transitions, and dismissal. This is a great opportunity for students, part-time job seekers, or anyone passionate about working with young children. (Should be available from 2pm-6pm Monday through Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with afternoon classroom activities and supervision
• Support children during snack time, outdoor play, and enrichment activities
• Help with end-of-day routines and classroom clean-up
• Ensure children’s safety and proper supervision at all times
• Communicate respectfully with staff and follow center policies
• Provide a warm, nurturing, and positive environment for children

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children preferred (training provided)
• Early childhood education coursework a plus
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Background screening required
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Positive, patient, and team-oriented attitude
