Agri Sales Representative

With offices based in Cork, Kerry and Clare we're at the forefront of Solar PV solutions across Munster. As we enter into a phase of significant growth driven by the country's commitment to combat climate change, we're seeking an Agri Sales Representative will have a strong agricultural background, in-depth knowledge of farming operations, and a passion for renewable energy solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients interested in renewable energy solutions, specifically identify and engage with farm owners to promote the benefits of solar PV installations.
  • Build long-term partnerships with farmers, Agri-co-ops, and industry stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor in renewable energy.
  • Carry out site visits, needs assessments, and energy usage reviews, translating technical solar PV solutions into clear financial and operational benefits.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals that outline the cost savings, return on investment, and long-term benefits associated with the adoption of renewable energy systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical team to ensure accurate project planning and seamless implementation of proposed solutions, adhering to regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, while maintaining a customer-centric approach and ensuring that all parties are satisfied with the terms and conditions.
  • Keep up to date on trends in the Agri sector, renewable energy policy, grant schemes, and financing options available to farmers. Provide exceptional post-sales support to clients, addressing any concerns or inquiries, and fostering long-term relationships to promote client retention and referrals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and marketing materials that effectively showcase the company's renewable energy solutions and enhance brand visibility in the market.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of farming operations, ideally gained through direct farm experience, Agri-sales, or working within the Agri sector.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency standards, and building regulations is desired.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, field management software and Microsoft Office Suite is desired.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis for clients is an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and meet sales targets within designated timelines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
