Ai & Data Intern – Build Real Ai Solutions Close To The Business

SaltX is on a mission to eliminate fossil fuels from industry. By developing and scaling electrification technologies for the lime and cement sectors – together responsible for over 8% of global CO₂ emissions – we enable the transition to a fully fossil-free future.

SaltX is actively implementing AI tools across analysis, decision support, and internal workflows. Now we’re looking for a curious, hands-on AI / Data intern who wants to work with real business problems — and connect data & AI insights directly to management decisions.

This role is ideal for a MSc student in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Industrial Engineeringor equivalent.

What you will do

• Identify and implement practical AI use cases (LLMs, automation, analytics)

• Build proof-of-concepts that support real business decisions

• Work with data pipelines (Excel database dashboards AI)

• Translate data and AI insights into clear business implications

• Present findings and recommendations directly to management

• Test and evaluate modern AI tools (LLMs, copilots, internal AI apps)

• Help define “how we use AI internally” from both a technical and business perspective

You will work closely with senior management, with high visibility and a strong connection between analysis and decision-making.

Who you are

• Currently studying Data Science, CS, ML, Industrial Engineering or equivalent

• Comfortable working at the intersection of technology and business

• Curious, pragmatic, and execution-oriented

• You’ve built something before — a script, a dashboard, a side project, a PoC

• Able to explain technical insights in a clear, structured way

No need to be an AI expert — we value curiosity, judgment, and ownership over perfect models.

Practical details

Three months with potential extension (10–20 hours/week, flexible schedule)
