- After completing your induction training you will work in our Machine Shop completing required work repairing engine parts, in accordance with the approved data, customer requirements and company procedures.
- Using our computer system to document and record your work.
- Ensuring that your work meets all health and safety requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
- You are Trade qualified Machinist NZQA Level 4 (or equivalent) with strong machining and hand skills. Please provide a copy of your relevant qualifications upon application.
- Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (open work visa without limitations, residency, or citizenship).
- Strong background in manual machining (lathes, mills or grinders).
- CNC setting and programming skills (FANUC, Siemens, Haas, Okuma).
Qualifications We Prefer
- Basic CAD/ CAM skills.
- Have solid work experience in a similar environment, such as aviation, automotive, mechanical engineering or related.
- Be experienced in working in processes and following instructions.
- Strong hand skills.
- Good computer literacy.
- Have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and good organizational skills.
- Be a confident, effective communicator and a strong team player.
- Be passionate about your work and always strive for the best and take pride in your work.
- Be able to comply with a strong safety and quality culture.
- Be flexible and adaptable.
- Able to work in physical tasks, such as but not limited to: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, and twisting.
Hours of work
- In this full-time position you will work in a fortnightly rotating shift pattern. Availability to work overtime is appreciated and compensated accordingly.
