Overview

Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon, and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.


The Assets Intern will be within the Operational Technology and Systems Integration Team and will report to the QFM Software Implementation Manager or Assets & Configuration Lead. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all 50,000+ major assets within the ECLRT project have been identified both physically and electronically, and the correct identifying markers including QR code labels, and/or Lamacoids. The process followed is part of the ECLRT Project’s System Wide Nomenclature Document. This is a short-term position needed for approximately 2-3 months.


QFM is our CMMS, asset management, help desk, and Performance Reporting System (PRS) software that will house the electronic records for all assets. You will help ensure all assets are physically and electronically tagged, identifiable, and accounted for. Field devices must be reconciled against vendor BOMs (Bill of Materials). You will also assist with tracking Signage including: Operational, Facilities, and Occupational Health & Safety. These efforts will help support multiple work streams and prepare the database interim maintenance and handover to CTSM who will maintain the ECLRT for 30 years.

Responsibilities

The person in this role will perform tasks such as:

  • Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
  • Reviewing reports, extracting data and transposing to Excel
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
  • Helping develop reports and analysis.
  • Help the QFM Software Implementation Team with all elements of asset tracking
  • Perform other tasks as requested for the OT and Systems Integration Team.

Qualifications

  • Working towards Bachelor’s degree/college diploma or recent graduate in the areas of business, engineering, technology, or computer science
  • Experience with a relational database
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Note that Excel skills must be at an advanced level.
  • Problem solving, gap analysis and recognition
  • Technically knowledgeable, exemplar communication skills, keen attention to detail, organized, motivated self-starter, team player.
  • Excellent Soft skills
