Reporting to the Management accountant, you will work closely with the General Manager and other members of the Davin/Prometal finance team to provide accurate and timely financial reporting in an efficient manner. The position works proactively across business functions to analyse financial information that will aid accurate commercial decision making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting with:

  • Completion of monthly accounting procedures in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Preparation of monthly P&L statements, journals and accruals
  • AR & AP activities
  • Analysis of financial results and provision of proactive feedback to the management team, assisting with interim and year end results
  • Maintain GL entries and reconcile accounts as required, ensuring accurate coding

Your role will also require you to undertake

  • Daily/Monthly accounts reconciliation and processing
  • Bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • FBT coding and reporting
  • BAS preparation

ABOUT YOU

  • Essential - Degree qualified in accounting
  • Desirable - ICA or CPA equivalent
  • Desirable - 2+ years’ commercial accounting experience
  • Desirable - Manufacturing or Building industry experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience with Accounting software packages (M1, ORACLE preferred)
