Assistant Manager

Shivshakti Limited is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Huntly, Waikato. This role is focused on supporting the day-to-day operations of the business, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth and efficient performance across all areas. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to contribute to both operational management and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support management in driving store sales and contribute to strategies that optimise overall performance.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Assist in setting and managing the pricing of products and services offered by the business.
  • Contribute to budgeting processes and monitor financial performance against targets.
  • Coordinate promotional and marketing initiatives to increase sales and meet business goals.
  • Help develop and implement operational procedures covering customer service, advertising, purchasing, and store layout improvements.
  • Contribute to business strategies aimed at attracting new customers, growing store traffic, and enhancing profitability.
  • Manage stock control processes, including purchasing, supplier coordination, and conducting regular inventory checks.
  • Support effective merchandising and in-store advertising to maximise product visibility and appeal.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and product-related concerns in a professional manner.
  • Supervise and support employees, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Oversee staff development, including training and ongoing support to encourage growth and capability.
  • Ensure products are correctly priced, labelled, and attractively displayed.
  • Manage banking-related responsibilities as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented store environment at all times.
  • Uphold health, safety, and security procedures within the workplace.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve store objectives and contribute to overall business success.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $25 to $30 per hour.

Other important requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 months of relevant work experience.
  • Available to work on weekends.
  • Physically fit to be able to stand for longer hours.
  • Self-motivated and a passionate individual
  • Attention to detail.

  • Team-worker

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
