Job Description

The Office of Finance (OFIN) supports the University in planning and executing sound financial management in fulfillment of the University’s mission; implementing and maintaining a robust financial framework that supports management in effective decision-making; providing fiscal stewardship of University’s resources; and ensuring financial governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role is deployed to Nanyang Business School and reports to the Finance Business Partner.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of school’s Self Financing, subsidized and endowed programmes : budgeting, planning and forecasting activities
Prepare budget templates and ensure timely submission of budget data
Monitor budget execution and utilization. Perform evaluation on budget utilization and performance to facilitate decision making over prioritization and strategy
Conduct decision-support analyses that provides real-time and accurate financial information draws insights from such analyses to make recommendations to the local unit’s Management team, as well as relevant finance stakeholders
Supports Finance Business Partner in any other matters

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy/finance or equivalent
Chartered Accountant, 3-5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge in SAP, Concur, Ariba, Power BI, Tableau are advantageous
Comfortable operating in a matrix structure and in a constantly changing environment
Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively within the team
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels
Strong analytical thinking and communication skills both written and verbal
Outstanding attention to details and follow-up skills
Well-developed prioritization, time management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion
