Assistant Manager , Tour Operations

Overview:

Are you an operations expert with a technical mind? City Tours is looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager (Tour Operations) to work closely with our Senior Operation Manager. You will be the heartbeat of our daily land and sea tours, ensuring our fleet is ready, our staff are rostered, and our guests are delighted.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Manage daily bus and boat tour schedules to ensure 100% punctuality and service excellence.
• Manpower Management: Roster bus captains, boat captains, and counter staff to ensure optimal coverage during peak and off-peak periods.
• Technical & Licensing Oversight: Manage bus and boat licensing renewals (LTA, MPA) and ensure all vehicles/vessels comply with safety regulations.
• Fleet Maintenance: Utilize your technical knowledge of vehicles to oversee maintenance schedules and troubleshoot mechanical issues alongside our technical team.
• Customer Service Excellence: Oversee daily counter operations, ensuring a high standard of guest interaction and resolving any on-site feedback.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 3–5 years in transport or tour operations; prior experience in a supervisory role is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical/mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles (buses) or marine vessels.
• Logistics Mastery: Proven experience in complex staff rostering and scheduling.
• Communication: Fluent in English (Mandarin is a plus for vendor and customer liaison).
• Attributes: Able to handle high-pressure environments, proactive in problem-solving, and detail-oriented regarding licensing deadlines.
