Location: Vineland

My client is developing a large-scale data centre campus in New Jersey, including the design and build of two 150MW power generation plants on a 300MW data centre site. They are seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of this complex, high-value programme. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and wider project team across all phases of development, design, procurement, and construction — ensuring activities are coordinated, documentation is accurate, and project milestones are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale industrial and power infrastructure projects
• Assist with the development of project schedules, budgets, and progress reports
• Liaise with design engineers, contractors, and consultants to help ensure alignment and resolve day-to-day issues
• Monitor project controls including risk logs, cost updates, and change management processes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements across the project
• Prepare, track, and maintain project documentation, reporting, and presentations for stakeholders
• Support tendering activities, contractor onboarding, and commercial administration
• Assist with site activities including inspections, progress tracking, commissioning, and handover activities

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Experience supporting construction or infrastructure projects; exposure to data centre, industrial, or mission-critical environments is a strong advantage
• Understanding of utilities, power generation, and MEP systems (preferred)
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Project management training or certification (e.g., CAPM) is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
