International Auto Group (IAG) boast seven dealerships across the GTA which encompasses 10 legendary brands. IAG is seeking an enthusiastic, confident, positive, self-motivated team member who is looking to embark on an exciting career as an Assistant Service Manager at Scarborough Mitsubishi.

As a key member of the service team, the Assistant Service Manager brings to life IAG Canada's strong belief in exceptional customer service and will provide support to the service manager in all areas of the service operations. This position reports to the Service Manager or General Manager and will be further responsible for working, overseeing and managing the service department, process and experience. The Assistant Service Manager is devoted to ensuring safety and customer satisfaction as well as writing service work orders, selling good service work, approving warranty jobs, submitting warranty claims, booking appointments, answering service inquiries, greeting customers in a friendly manner as well as contributing to the department’s overall success. Some key objectives of the Assistant Service Manager are to create a great customer service experience and foster brand loyalty as well as contribute to the department’s overall success. The successful candidate is focused on upholding and promoting IAG Canada values and brand standards to create an unparalleled customer experience in the service department. As a team player, the Assistant Service Manager will also strive to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership.
Here's What you'll deliver:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Effectively help in managing the Service Department operations.
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of the dealership service department, including operational performance, maintaining 1.20 min hrs/ro, maintenance costs, the safety of operation, plus compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Help with coaching, training, phone etiquette, customer relations and working closely with staff including technicians when problem-solving and diagnosing vehicle problems.
- Outstanding work habits, appearance and attitude example for all service staff.
- Review and analyze actions from both customers and staff regularly to determine how to grow and better utilize time and plan more effectively.
Be an excellent collaborator:
- Work with upper management to make service department personnel decisions.
- Maintain good working relationships with the manufacturer and vendors.
- Maintain effective employee relations.
- Attend required manager meetings.
What you'll need to succeed:
- College Diploma or Trade School Certificate in Automotive Studies, or equivalent.
- Minimum of Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience as an advisor or in a management role.
- Possess a general understanding of technical/mechanical repairs.
- Minimum of Three (3) to Five (5) years’ of dealership experience with strong product knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.
- Organized and an attention to detail with the ability to document customer needs.
- Experience managing people with a strong desire to coach employees to improve.
