Assistant Sports Coach -Middle/Elementary School

The Assistant Athletic Coach plays a vital role in delivering UFIT’s high-quality sports and physical activity programs for students in grades K–8. This position supports the Lead Coach in creating a positive, inclusive, and safe environment where students can develop athletic skills, sportsmanship, and confidence.

Coaching assignments may include:

• Volleyball Coach
• Football Coach
• Basketball Coach
• Soccer Coach
• Elementary PE Coach

UFIT (University of Fitness Information and Technology) sports coaches enhance and teach sports such as Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Football, and Dance to elementary and middle school students. Our approach ensures a positive, inclusive experience that maximizes learning opportunities while maintaining discipline and safety. We strive to create engaging, structured sports environments that build physical skills and promote teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Run and lead daily sport activities with groups of 20+ students.
• Learn and execute UFIT’s physical education curriculum.
• Maintain control of students, ensuring a safe and positive learning space.
• Manage and organize sports equipment, including setup and storage.
• Administer a positive behavior management approach.
• Take accurate daily attendance and model punctuality.
• Communicate consistently with students, fellow coaches, and administrative staff.
• Participate in monthly company fitness training sessions.

Requirements

• Must pass Megan’s Law check, drug test, and background check.
• Current TB clearance.
• Experience in fitness, coaching, or physical education.
• Experience working with children in structured activities.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Must be sports-specific certified.
• Completion of a PAID 5-day professional development course ($300 fee paid after hire in first paycheck).
• Live Scan background check (at candidate’s expense).
• Will be assigned to a designated school location.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
