Position Title: Assistant Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager, Super Clean Laundromat
Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct reporting of store attendants
Contract: Position is for a 6 month contract which can lead to permanent employment.
Working Conditions:
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Lifting up to 30 lbs weight.
· Must be willing to work flexible shifts (between 7 AM to 9.30 PM, including weekends & holidays).
Overview
The Assistant Store Manager is an integral role at Super Clean Laundromat overseeing day-to-day operations of the store, connecting team members to the values and mission of the organization on a daily basis, and ensuring the highest levels of customer care is achieved in every interaction. The Asst. Store Manager is the first point of contact for staff and customer escalations. The Asst. Store Manager is the liaison between senior leadership, team members and customers. As a member of the Super Clean Laundromat team, the Asst. Store Manager acts as a role model to team members exemplifying our values, striving to provide delightful service to every customer while, helping improve operations and efficiency of store operations to ultimately improve revenue and profitability of the store.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Day to day store operations including but not limited to:
o Ensures a clean, physically, psychologically safe, and positive environment.
o Manages store inventory ensuring orders are placed in time to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operations.
o Attracts, hires, develops, and retains talent; effectively and fairly coach, lead, and drive high-performance of all team members.
o Sets and reinforces clear performance expectations, standards, and accountabilities for all team members.
o Sets and manages the schedules keeping a pulse on peak times and ensuring sufficient coverage as well as working a varying schedule of daytimes, weekends, evening and holiday shifts and to have strong relationships with all team members as well as understanding the norms of different times in the store.
o Meet payroll targets through maintaining a sales focus, upselling based on specials, seasonal needs and creating opportunities.
o Complete daily & weekly sales & cash reconciliation and deposits.
o Manages incoming orders and effectively follows and reinforces the “own your order” guidelines, ensuring 100% adherence to order completion timelines.
o Sets task lists for team members and ensures high standards of completion.
o Partners with team members and leadership team to support action plans and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
o Leads the focus on consistently delivering a customer experience that keeps customers delighted.
o Partners with senior leadership to resolve issues, improve operations, and maintain and reinforce policies and procedures.
o Partner with delivery team to manage Pickup & Drop Off orders of the store, ensuring an optimal customer experience. . Partners with senior leadership to resolve issues, improve operations, and maintain and reinforce policies and procedures.
o Receptive to growth through other duties that may be assigned for example to provide coverage for senior leadership if or when needed.
o Understand causes machinery malfunction / downtime and provide first level of troubleshooting / fix.
Qualifications & Skills
· 1-5 years of work experience
· Customer service orientation
· Excellent communication skills
· People management experience in Retail industry is a positive
· Willingness to learn fast and thrive in the Retail stores environment
· Proven analytical and problem solving skills
· Highly self-motivated with attention to detail
· Successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record background check as a condition of employment.
