About this Role:
This position is within the DHCS Office of Medicare Innovation and Integration. Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) position develops and demonstrates a working knowledge of the complex, continuously emerging Medicare health care policy areas, and identifies and acquires information that may be of value to DHCS senior staff. Such information may be in the form of reports, data, web-based information, white papers, DHCS or federal administrative processes, and discussions with DHCS staff and external partners and stakeholders. The AGPA must have knowledge of current organizational methods, and procedures with particular reference to the work done in OMII, as well as related areas in DHCS, the California Department of Aging, and the California Department of Social Services. The AGPA is responsible for working on a broad range of governmental problems, which are interdisciplinary in nature, requiring complex technical and consultative analytical duties. The AGPA is responsible for creating and updating DHCS websites managed by OMII. The AGPA is responsible for scheduling meetings for DHCS Deputy Director.This recruitment has been posted for more vacancies than currently exist as it may be used to fill additional identical vacancies which occur within 180 days of the closing date of this bulletin.
