Do you possess strong analytical skills and a passion to implement new programs? Do you enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders and customers to protect California’s environment?
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense. Beginning July 1, 2026, it is anticipated the position will be office-centered and employees will be expected to report to the office at least four days per week.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience of analyzing, interpreting, and implementing legislation, regulations, and policy.
- Experience of reviewing and analyzing payment requests closely and following instructions.
- Experience of conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, and presenting information.
- Experience of working independently and acting as a program lead.
- Experience of collaborating and communicating across all levels of an organization and providing good customer service.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, Powerpoint) and Adobe PDF daily.

Statement of Qualifications
Applicants must submit a Statement of Qualification (SOQ) that serves as documentation of an applicants’ ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.
