About the Royal St George Yacht Club

The Royal St. George Yacht Club (“the RSGYC” or “the club”) is one of the premier yacht clubs in Ireland. Located in an historic building on the waterfront in Dun Laoghaire Harbour, the club offers access to a wide range of watersport and social activities to its nearly 2,000 members and provides a unique wedding and corporate events location.

The ideal candidate will be very standards driven in terms of operation of service and customer care, and have exceptional attention to detail and a good working knowledge of wines & spirits.

Primary duties and responsibilities

• To deliver at all times the highest quality of beverage and food service.
• To strive at all times to exceed the expectations of all members and their guests and to do so in a pleasant and efficient manner.
• To adhere to all Health & Safety, Hygiene and Cash out Procedures.
• To maximise sales and revenue at all times.
• To handle queries and complaints in a professional, efficient manner.
• To control stock and order all wine and beverage
• To maintain the Bar and Bar areas clean and
• To ensure the team are trained and working according club standards
• To implement training procedures to drive standards
• Maintain the bar and bar areas to a high standard of cleanliness at alltimes

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a busy F&B outlet is essential.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills essential as is the ability to work as part of a team and on one's own initiative.
• Strong Customer Focus essential.
• Self-motivated and tasks orientated
• Attention to detail
