Barista Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista Cashier to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and handling transactions accurately. Prior experience in coffee or food service is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks following company standards.
• Operate POS systems such as TOAST POS for order processing and cash handling.
• Take customer orders accurately, ensuring quick and friendly service.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using retail math skills.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas.
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service.
• Restock supplies, clean equipment, and ensure the café remains organized and inviting.
• Uphold food handling procedures in accordance with health regulations.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred; knowledge of coffee preparation is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions.
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in serving or café environments is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific tasks.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
