Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care.
• Operate POS system (Toast) to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash handling duties, including cash register operations, change distribution, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling and preparation procedures.
• Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service environments with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours smoothly.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
