Job Title: Barista
Location: The Grove Artisan Cafe and Bakery.
Reports to: Cafe Manager/General Manager.
Classification: Part-Time/Full-Time (Hourly). Looking for Wednesday & Sunday 5 PM - 11PM, 5 PM to 1 AM shift Thursday, Friday, Saturday - an opportunity for liquor and food sales to gain $ in tips.
Required Certification: Valid Arizona Food Handler’s Card.

Position Summary:
The Barista plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by preparing high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment. You will work in a fast-paced setting focused on consistency, cleanliness, and hospitality. Full barista training is provided for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and other cafe offerings according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and efficiency during peak hours.
- Learn and follow all brewing, steaming, and pouring techniques.
Customer Service:
- Greet guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations.
- Handle orders and payments accurately using POS (Square).
Cleanliness & Organization:
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Restock ingredients, cups, and supplies as needed.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists.
Teamwork & Culture:
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
- Support kitchen and front-of-house operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of general work experience (in any industry).
- Must possess a valid Arizona Food Handler’s Card (or obtain before first shift).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
