Barista/All Rounder

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth operation of the coffee shop. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash handling, and customer service within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following company recipes and standards
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in math calculations
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
• Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience
• Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Restock supplies as needed and ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and communication
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
• Experience in serving, food preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85-$20.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
