Barista/Cashier/Food Runner

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items. Your role will involve engaging with customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the café environment. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Deliver food order to customers with efficiency and courtesies
• Maintain cleanliness of the dinning room and counter area
• Operate the SpotOn POS system for processing transactions efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, food items, and supplies.
• Engage in sales activities to promote special offers or new menu items to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
• Familiarity with SpotOn POS system is a plus but can be learned on the job.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food service best practices is desirable.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
