Bartender/Server

EYV Restaurant is looking for fun, passionate, creative Server/Bartender to join our team. Starting at $30-$35 hr ($8 hourly rate plus tips.)

Our goal is to provide a better work/life balance and more equitable work environment w/ Sunday/Mondays/Tuesdays off, no late nights 10hr -16hr work week, PTO, 50/50 health, dental, vision, 3% , establishment of an employee profit sharing program, access to industry continuing education fund.

EYV is a vegetable forward restaurant located in Pittsburgh's Deutschtown Neighborhood focusing on making vegetables the center of the plate with meats & seafood playing a supporting role while utilizing the bounty of Western Pennsylvania & East Ohio Farms whenever possible. This individual will have basic serving and bartending skills that we will develop further with our team

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of company background, core values and philosophy, maintaining a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean, and professional image

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year serving or bartending in an fine dining/ upscale restaurant,
• Availability to work 1 day during the week and Friday and Saturday evenings
• Polished, professional, warm, and hospitable attitude
• Ability to lift 10- 20lbs if necessary.
• Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment.
• Stand and walk for the entirety of an eight-hour shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant.
• Ramp Certified

Responsibilities will include:

• Work behind the bar or server tables as need and provide beverage service along with all other service needs that arise.
• Create an environment that is warm, welcoming, and filled with positivity for guests and employees
• Always uphold our standards and treat everyone with courtesy and respect
• Weekly Inventory: ordering, price updates, accurate par levels, manage over-pours
• Bar and section cleanliness and checklists
• Quality Control: drinks are properly made, and garnishes look fresh
• Identify and suggest improvements for the restaurant..
• Staff Education: new item review, pairing discussions, boost wine knowledge/wine service, confirm that drinks are appropriately priced in POS and modification options are consistent/clear to the bartender
• Basic knowledge of mixing classic and modern cocktails, mocktails, wine and beer.
• Training and development of the bar team
• Upholding all standards and expectations set out by management.
• Manage bar inventory to control beverage costs
• Conduct and maintain accurate records on beer counts, waste, inventory, bar costs and P.O.S
• Oversee and direct purchasing operations of ingredients and liquor including negotiations with suppliers with the approval of ownership and AGM.
• Creating a positive experience for all our guests and for the rest of the team by being professional, focused, and reliable.
• Maintaining a clean, polished, and presentable workspace
• Managing guests and resolving conflict
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Champions the brand’s vision and values and contribute to a culture of positivity and high standards. Any and all additional duties as determined by ownership

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
