Body Shop Accounting Clerk

One of South Florida’s largest-volume and most successful automotive dealer groups, Bev Smith Automotive, is seeking a Body Shop Accounting Clerk.

This role is ideal for a confident, detail-oriented accounting professional who is comfortable following up, asking questions, and persistently collecting outstanding balances from insurance companies. If you have a strong personality, aren’t afraid to pick up the phone, and take pride in closing out receivables, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers immediately upon arrival in the collision center
• Confer with the accounting department when there are overdo debts
• Actively follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or delayed claims
• Aggressively pursue outstanding balances while maintaining professionalism
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable for the collision center
• Research payment discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Work closely with the body shop and management team to ensure timely payments

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous accounts receivable or accounting experience (automotive or collision center experience a plus)
• Comfortable handling collections and insurance follow-ups
• Confident communicator with a strong, persistent personality
• Organized, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple accounts
• Ability to stay professional while being firm and results-focused
• Excellent customer service abilities
