Arcadis DPS Engineering are seeking a Building Services Project Engineer for a pharmaceutical assignment located in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. This is initially a 12-month contract, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
- Experience coordinating MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) design and delivery for large-scale building projects.
- Strong client-side liaison skills, ensuring alignment with company standards and stakeholders (including SMEs and Engineering Technical Authority).
- Proven ability to participate in design reviews and integrate HVAC, electrical, BMS, and plumbing systems.
- Experience developing and reviewing MEP design packages, drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
- Ability to oversee installation, ensuring quality, compliance, and design intent are met.
- Skilled in resolving technical issues on site, coordinating with construction teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Hands-on involvement in FATs, SATs, commissioning, and qualification activities for building services systems. Commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout project phases.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in building services design, construction, and commissioning in the life sciences sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems within GMP and regulated facilities.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and lead design reviews.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IS, EN, CIBSE, ASHRAE).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree-level qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Professional registration or chartered status preferred but not required.
