Role: Business Automation Intern
Help us turn manual tasks into seamless, reliable workflows. You’ll map processes, design automations, and connect our tools (website, bookings, payments, CRM, accounting, inventory, HR) so the business runs faster with fewer errors. Perfect for students who love systems thinking, “no-code/low-code” tools, and measurable impact.

What you’ll do

• Process mapping: interview stakeholders (ops, marketing, finance), document current workflows, identify bottlenecks and failure points.
• Design & build automations: implement flows using Zapier/Make, webhooks, and lightweight scripts to connect bookings ↔ CRM ↔ email ↔ accounting ↔ stock.
• Bookings & CRM: automate confirmations, reminders, reschedules, review requests, and post-visit upsells.
• Finance ops: streamline invoicing, receipts, refunds, and payout reconciliation; reduce manual data entry.
• Inventory & ops: connect bookings to a stock calculator (pick lists, reorder points, daily usage summaries).
• HR & scheduling: automate onboarding checklists, contract templates, training reminders, and shift communications.
• Dashboards & alerts: create operational dashboards (capacity, no-shows, NPS, stockouts) and set alerts for exceptions.
• QA & documentation: write SOPs, test plans, and rollback procedures; train staff to self-serve.
• Compliance: build privacy-aware workflows (GDPR), access controls, and audit trails.

Your profile

• Enrolled in Business IT, Information Management, Operations/Logistics, or related studies.
• Systems thinker who enjoys process mapping and turning ideas into working automations.
• Comfortable with Zapier/Make, spreadsheets, and basic APIs/webhooks (JSON, HTTP).
• Bonus points: basic JavaScript/Python, experience with WordPress, Stripe/Mollie, GA4/GTM, or a CRM.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and great at documenting what you build.
• Communicates clearly with non-technical teammates.

What you’ll learn (and own)

• How to take a process from as-is → to-be, with measurable KPIs (time saved, error rate, conversion lift).
• Designing resilient automations (idempotency, retries, error handling, logging).
• Building real-time dashboards that drive daily decisions.
• Privacy by design for GDPR (data minimization, retention, DPA basics, user rights).
• Change management: rollout plans, training, and adoption.
