Business Development Manager / Software Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking a versatile professional who can drive business growth while also guiding software architecture decisions. This role combines client-facing commercial leadership with technical ownership of scalable, secure software solutions. The ideal candidate can translate business needs into practical technology strategy and work across sales, product, engineering, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business growth strategies, identify new opportunities, and build strong client relationships.
  • Research markets, trends, and competitors to uncover commercial opportunities and guide business decisions.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, review contracts, and support revenue-generating activities.
  • Define software architecture strategy, standards, and technical direction for projects and platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure technical designs.
  • Lead architecture reviews, evaluate technology choices, and reduce technical risk and debt.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering, security, and operations to deliver solutions aligned with business goals.

Required Skills

  • Strong business development, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, and technical standards.
  • Experience communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to balance commercial goals with technical feasibility, cost, risk, and scalability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, business development, product strategy, or account management.
  • Experience leading engineering teams or architecture governance.
  • Background in business, finance, marketing, computer science, or software engineering.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Pay: $48.00 – $104.00 per hour
