PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and establish long-term strategic and annual goals for VI sales in Singapore and distributor countries.
- Responsible for attaining forecasted unit and revenue sales while controlling expenses to budget.
- Works regularly in the field with Sales Representatives to establish strong relationships to key physicians, ensure competency and success.
- Setup and manage distributor network to support the business growth needs.
- Executes sales plans and ensures participation and compliance on the part of all members of the sales team.
- Develop and review sales and staffing plans to attain VI sales goals within assigned territory.
- Develop and train staff, review and appraise performance and provide for succession planning.
- Ultimately responsible for the hiring and management of sales personnel, in the assigned territory.
- Coach, develop, engage, and retain talents in the team and work collaboratively with HR to deploy the right talent solution for team members
- Seeks solutions to problems, recommends strategies to increase sales and analyzes BIOTRONIK’s market position.
- Participates in the development of the annual business plan and is responsible for executing the plan.
- Creates a strong “area” physician support team that will serve as advisors, champions, and educators for the area.
- Maintain close communications with the sales force, providing market analysis, strategies, product mix required, competitor information, sales training, product information, educational publications, and introduction of new products.
- Conduct ROI analysis prior to execution of plans, allocate resources in key accounts.
- Manage accounts through government contracts, group hospital purchasing agencies, and university centers which are primarily using investigational devices, approve discounts and conditions of sales when those differ from regularly applied policies.
- Monitor trends and developments to implement additional sales in new market areas and provide input for new product introduction.
- Maintain a high level of cooperation and support by interfacing with BIOTRONIK's other departments.
- Ensure adherence or compliance of local and BIOTRONIK’s business legislation and governance.
- Closes direct sales of products and/or services in order to meet individual/team quotas and the organization's business objectives.
- Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Management, or related field.
- Min. 5 years prior sales management experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- 10 years of proven direct sales experience or record in the relevant industry.
- Experience of distributor management is preferrable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
- Complete and thorough knowledge of BIOTRONIK’s and competitor’s products.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in work ethic, customer service and demeanor.
- Excellent relationship and network with the KOLs in the industry.
- Able to undertake travel to distributor countries
