Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer is responsible for:

  • Identify growth opportunities through market research and financial analysis and develop strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop business initiatives for revenue growth, market expansion, client retention, and risk identification.
  • Collaborate with executives on marketing strategies and present data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Lead market research and provide insights on product development and competitive positioning.
  • Expand the customer base by acquiring new clients and converting prospects to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong client and investor relationships to support retention, upselling, and business deals.
  • Implement sales and business development strategies to achieve sustained revenue growth.
  • Monitor performance, assess progress, and adjust strategies to align with objectives and market conditions.
  • Identify underperforming offerings and recommend improvements to enhance sales proposals and business outcomes.
  • Track and analyze lead generation and conversion rates to optimize marketing and sales efforts.
  • Analyze customer feedback to assess satisfaction with products and services.
  • Recommend revenue targets, monitor results, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop the business development team through training and mentoring.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the business development function.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Economics, Management, Finance, or a related business course; MBA preferred.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the drive to identify new business opportunities and meet or exceed targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a customer- and business-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, project management, people management, and financial management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with attention to detail and reporting capability.
  • Flexible, dynamic, and adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment.
