Cabinet Maker / Joiner (Custom Kitchens & Joinery – Factory Based)

About the Role

We are an Auckland-based cabinetry and joinery manufacturer delivering custom kitchens and interior joinery. We are seeking a Cabinet Maker / Joiner to join our workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble custom cabinetry and joinery
• Read and interpret drawings / cutting lists
• Operate workshop machinery safely (panel saw, edge bander, CNC where applicable)
• Install cabinet hardware (hinges, runners, mechanisms, handles)
• Maintain quality workmanship and meet deadlines
• Follow health & safety procedures and keep a clean, organised workspace

Skills & Experience Required

We will consider applicants at different skill levels:

Intermediate Cabinet Maker ($25–$30/hr)

• 2+ years relevant workshop experience in cabinetry/joinery (or transferable carpentry experience)
• Able to follow drawings and instructions with reasonable accuracy
• Competent with tools and safe work practices
• Reliable and quality-minded

Senior Cabinet Maker / Joiner ($30–$40/hr)

• 5+ years cabinetry/joinery workshop experience
• Able to work independently from technical drawings
• High standard of finishing and accuracy
• Able to independently operate key machinery (panel saw/edge bander; CNC preferred)

Qualification

• NZ Certificate (Level 4) in Cabinetmaking / Joinery / Carpentry or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
• Strong practical experience and references will be considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
