Cafe Manager

Kapil & Sons Limited proudly operates Columbus Coffee in the Tauranga region, delivering exceptional coffee and a warm, welcoming experience to our customers. We are seeking a dedicated Cafe Manager to lead our team, ensuring a memorable experience for every guest.

The job responsibilities are as follows:

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to design an appealing menu, making adjustments based on customer preferences and seasonal trends.
• Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and seamless operations.
• Supervise all aspects of café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure the café remains well-supplied at all times.
• Oversee daily financial transactions, working with management to improve profitability and business growth.
• Oversee daily functions to maintain high service standards and create a welcoming environment.
• Hire, train, and support staff to deliver exceptional customer service and foster professional growth.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and arrange ongoing development programs.
• Carry out opening and closing duties as required, ensuring readiness for each shift.
• Organize catering and special events, maintaining clear coordination with the kitchen team for smooth execution.
• Supervise both front-of-house and kitchen teams to guarantee a positive and high-quality guest experience.
• Enforce health and safety protocols to protect both staff and customers.
• Manage inventory, coordinate food supply logistics, and oversee financial aspects of stock control.
• Ensure food quality by serving fresh items and maintaining proper storage temperatures for customer safety.
• Address customer inquiries and staff concerns promptly, fostering a supportive café environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and uphold café service standards.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $27 to $30 per hour.

Requirements for the role:

• Must hold a minimum relevant qualification at Level 4 or a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
• Available to work on weekends.
• Physically Fit to stand for longer hours
• Must be able to start early

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
