We are looking for an experienced and dynamic manager to lead our busy, food-focused café at 22 George’s Street in Dublin 2. This is a fast-paced, high-volume location with full sit-in and takeaway service, a fresh food offering, and a growing team that needs strong, confident leadership. This is more than just a coffee operations, it’s a full-service café where quality, speed, and consistency are essential across both front-of-house and kitchen operations.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, leads from the front, and knows how to run a high-performing team across multiple moving parts. You’ll need experience managing fresh food service, sit-in operations, and daily prep, with a sharp eye for systems, standards, and performance. What You'll Be Responsible For

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee the full day-to-day running of the café, including food service, coffee standards, staff performance, and site cleanliness
  • Ensure systems and workflows for food prep, service speed, waste control, and hygiene are followed to the letter
  • Manage daily food prep operations and service flow to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Ensure HACCP compliance and food safety standards are always maintained

Team Management & Development

  • Lead a large, mixed team of baristas, deli assistants, and floor staff
  • Own recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management
  • Provide clear structure and accountability; set expectations and follow through when standards aren’t met
  • Support, mentor, and hold supervisors to a high bar

Customer Service & Atmosphere

  • Ensure every customer is greeted warmly, served promptly, and leaves satisfied
  • Handle complaints calmly and professionally, taking ownership and following up as needed
  • Maintain the vibe; keep service fast but never rushed, clean, and welcoming

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor daily/weekly sales, labour costs, waste, and productivity
  • Control COGS through ordering, forecasting, and portion control
  • Work closely with senior leadership to implement company-wide initiatives at site level
  • Ensure stock systems are maintained accurately

Who We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years’ café or hospitality management experience, ideally in a food-led environment
  • Strong people leader—can manage a large team and delegate effectively
  • Comfortable enforcing standards, addressing underperformance, and giving direction under pressure
  • Confident running kitchen-style morning prep and managing HACCP
  • Obsessed with customer service, operational efficiency, and clean execution
  • Calm, professional, organised, and capable of juggling 10 things at once
  • Familiarity with staff scheduling, stock ordering, food cost control, and health & safety
  • A full driving licence is a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
