Carpenter

Sunset Construction Limited is a construction company specialising in residential New Builds, renovations, alterations and maintenance projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable construction services to our clients.

Applicants should have: At least 2 years relevant carpentery or relevant construction worker experience, or a relevant level 4 qualification ( or equivalent)

Key Responsibililties:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Reading and interpreting building plans, drawings and specifications
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and other building materials
• Constructing wall frames, roof framing, flooring systems and structural components
• Installing doors, windows, skirting, architraves, cabinetry and other interior and exterior fixtures
• Carring out renovation, alteration and maintenance carpentry work
• Installing cladding, decking, fencing and other external timber structures where required
• Operating and maintaining hand tools and power tools safely
• Ensuring all work complies with the New Zealand Building Code, project specifications and health and safety requirements
• Working collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
