Carpenter Helper

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Carpenter’s Helper to assist carpenters on construction projects. The ideal candidate will support skilled carpenters by handling basic tasks, maintaining tools and materials, and ensuring work areas are clean and organized. This role is a great entry point for someone looking to build a career in construction or carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist carpenters in building, installing, and repairing structures such as walls, floors, doors, windows, and cabinets
• Carry and transport tools, lumber, and construction materials to and from work areas
• Measure and cut materials under supervision
• Set up and clean up job sites before and after work
• Hold materials in place or assist with fastening during installation
• Load and unload materials from trucks
• Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g., saws, drills, nail guns)
• Perform general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous construction or labor experience is a plus but not required
• Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and materials
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
• Willingness to learn on the job
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on the job site

Work Environment:

• Outdoor and indoor job sites
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
