Carpenter / Service Tech

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter / Service Technician to join our team. This position focuses on service work, warranty repairs, deficiency corrections, and small renovation projects across a variety of commercial, institutional, and residential properties. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering quality workmanship, maintaining strong client relationships, and working independently to resolve construction-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry repairs, warranty work, and deficiency corrections.
• Complete tasks including drywall repairs, door and hardware adjustments, ceiling repairs, trim installation, and millwork repairs.
• Carry out small renovations, tenant improvements, and general maintenance projects.
• Assess site conditions, identify issues, and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, property managers, and project stakeholders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Provide updates on project progress and complete basic documentation of work performed.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in carpentry or a related trade.
• Experience with renovation, finishing, and service work is considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites.
• Physically capable of performing construction-related duties, including lifting materials, climbing ladders, and working on active job sites.
• Effective verbal communication skills in English; French is considered an asset.
• Ability to obtain Government of Canada security clearance.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed at construction sites, commercial facilities, and occupied buildings.
• Duties may involve both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather and site conditions.
• Travel between project locations may be required.

Pay: $18.20-$43.18 per hour
