Job Description

A Case Analyst within the US Consular team reports directly to the Practice Leader / Associate. A Case Analyst will have responsibility to provide visa coordination support to the Practice Leader / Associate that they are assigned to work with.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of a Partner / Practice Leader / Senior Associate perform the following responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Booking visa appointments across Asia-Pacific, which requires knowledge and expertise coordinating with Fragomen Asia offices and co-counsel, monitoring the US Consular calendars, preparing emergency applications, coordinating with US Government Third Party Provider to override issues and correct errors with scheduling
  • Communicating with Consulate through multiple channels to resolve urgent VIP requests from FDBL US, corporate clients, and VIP applicants, requires knowledge of process and procedure
  • Responding to FDBL US inquiries on current Consulate adjudication patterns and required application documents, using knowledge gained by experience working daily with Asia-Pacific cases
  • Assisting with US Corporate client relationship management by fielding queries from contacts and providing processing updates, requires ability to write clearly, respond quickly and address different clients with relevant attention
  • Explaining to visa applicants the core requirements of their visa category and how to best present their application to ensure successful outcomes, using knowledge acquired drafting these cases while with FDBL as well as knowledge gained working with US Consular team
  • Filing, emailing, faxing, photocopying, scanning and uploading documents and other general Case Analyst/ administration tasks, as required.
  • uploading documents, etc. to Fragomen Connect and performing Connect updates
  • performing research tasks, as directed
  • Amending templates, best practices, and application procedures based on official Consulate correspondence and observed Consular adjudication patterns, requires daily experience with Asia-Pacific consulates
  • Undertake other general administrative support, and providing support to other members of the team, as required
  • Maintain current knowledge of client specific and internal SLAs
  • Attend training to maintain and develop relevant technical knowledge, techniques and skills, as required
