Responsible for handling all incoming cash as well as setting up requested payment services for customers.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares remittances and enters daily SAP cash transactions, including bank deposits from lockbox, credit card payments, ACH payments and physical checks. Processes credit card payments and preauthorization’s as needed.
- Processes reimbursements to customers regarding overpayments.
- Follows up on all short payments.
- Investigates and resolves payment discrepancies, including unidentified payments, overpayments, and returned payments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assists with financial year end audit if needed.
- Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
- Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent. A.A. or A.S. in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ SAP cash accounting experience.
- Ability to work effectively independently, as well as part of a team.
- Intermediate PC user, utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP required.
- Analytical aptitude in math and problem solving.
- Ability to understand and interpret basic business concepts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
- The following physical demands are required:
- Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours per day
