Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service at the counter or drive-thru.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with attention to quality and presentation.
• Handle cash register operations using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, accurately processing sales transactions.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including giving correct change and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, food prep stations, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks to support quick service delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, restocking as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Uphold food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Engage with customers to promote sales of products, upsell items when appropriate, and foster a positive experience.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless café operations and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred; strong passion for coffee is a plus!
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability in cashiering, including cash handling, retail math, and basic math skills for transactions.
• Excellent customer service skills; friendly demeanor and clear communication are essential.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
• Previous experience in food service or retail environments is desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key! Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
