Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage customer inquiries will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently for customer transactions.
• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assist in merchandising products on the sales floor to create an appealing shopping environment.
• Perform stocking duties to maintain inventory levels and ensure product availability.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including processing payments and managing cash drawers.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive work environment.
• Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to transactions and inventory management.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
• Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to take on leadership roles within the team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $18.00 per hour
