Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be bilingual if possible, and have experience in retail sales and cashiering. Previous supervising experience and product demonstration skills are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail expertise while delivering exceptional shopping experiences to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately
• Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries or needs
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and integrity
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
• Conduct product demos when applicable to engage customers and increase sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and product placement
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are advantageous
• Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus
• Familiarity with retail math, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions
• Previous experience in product demos or promotional activities is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
