Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for every customer. Responsibilities

  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly.
  • Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demonstrations.
  • Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision.
  • Maintain an organized checkout area, ensure proper stocking of registers, and assist with merchandising efforts.
  • Support upselling initiatives by suggesting additional products or services to enhance customer purchases.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns professionally and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing products, and conducting stock counts.
  • Use strong communication skills to relay product information clearly and promote store promotions or sales.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in retail math to handle transactions accurately and manage cash register balances.
  • Engage customers through product demos and promote store offerings to boost sales performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude!
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions confidently.
  • Strong communication skills and phone etiquette to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs better.
  • Experience supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment typical of grocery stores or retail outlets.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
