Our ideal candidate would have flexible schedules (including overnight/weekend work if needed) and a high skill level with the following:
Low voltage Cat6 voice & data cabling, Fiber, CCTV and Access Control experience. Service Technicians are well versed in both installations and service, they are responsible for installing, programming, and troubleshooting analog and IP camera equipment.
Install, maintain, or repair CCTV, IP Camera, DVR or related equipment.
Experience and a working knowledge with CCTV systems, DVR, Cameras, Public Display Monitors, Coax and Cat5/Cat6 cabling is required. Experience with basic networking and A/V installation a preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Install CCTV equipment to a diverse customer market, both locally and nationally
- Perform camera placement for surveillance systems, including focusing and positioning
- Plan, run, and terminate various cabling (Coax, CAT6 )
- Set up, mounting, and installation of DVR and low voltage power supplies
- Problem solving including debugging and resolving low voltage electrical, cable, computer hardware and software issues
- Basic networking skills and knowledge
- Track and maintain control of inventory and equipment
- Submitting and maintaining timely and accurate installation, service and inventory paperwork
- Responsible for monthly reconciliation of company credit card purchases
- Responsible for the use of company provided vehicle and the inventory within
- Working knowledge required for the use of office email, calendars, and company provided tablet/laptop

Willingness to travel including overnights, work overtime as required, and scheduled on call after hours

Clean driving record, valid driver’s license and able to pass background/drug screening
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This position operates in a variety of customer business settings including both interior and exterior installations. This position is very active and requires driving, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing up and down ladders throughout a typical work day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. The employee will also regularly use hand tools, drills and lifts as needed for the job. The employee must work well with limited supervision.
Summary
As a CCTV Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, including CCTV and fire alarms. Reporting to the Security Systems Manager, your core skills in low voltage cabling and electrical experience will be vital for effective system operation. Your premium skills in computer networking and mechanical knowledge will enhance system design and functionality. Additionally, strong communication skills and a valid driver's license are essential for field service tasks, ensuring client satisfaction and security integrity in various environments.
