Cyclife, a boosting European pioneer in nuclear decommissioning and dismantling radioactive waste management, is now seeking a new CFO for Cyclife Sweden to build on its progress and support the organisation’s continued development. This is a rare opportunity to develop and lead a finance organisation at a pivotal moment.
The Role
As CFO of Cyclife Sweden, you will be a critical member of the management team and have overall responsibility for the finance function. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, and working closely with the holding-level CFO, you will act as a trusted business partner to management and play a central role in enabling Cyclife’s next phase of growth, efficiency improvement, and market development in an international, complex and growing environment.
The role combines strategic leadership with a strong financial acumen and operational understanding. A key mandate is to further transform the finance organisation from a primarily execution-oriented function into a proactive business partner that actively drives and enables growth, performance, and decision-making across the company.
You will lead a finance and procurement organisation of approximately 13 people (across accounting, business control and procurement) and operate in a complex, international, and regulated environment with increasing external reporting requirements.
Location is Studsvik, with an expectation of on-site presence approximately three days per week, and more frequently during the initial phase.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading, coaching and developing finance and procurement into a proactive, forward-looking and value-creating function, ensuring the function has the right structure, capabilities, performance, and ways of working.
Contributing to business strategy and translating strategic objectives into financial plans, forecasts, and measurable targets.
Driving business analysis and planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance follow-up to support decision-making and optimize key business KPIs.
Ensuring transparent, timely, and high-quality financial reporting, disclosures, and decision support in line with Cyclife and EDF’s high standards.
Collaborating cross-functionally and across regions to support strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen financial governance and meet increasing reporting demands.
Acting as a close, dependable and trusted partner to the Managing Director and group stakeholders
Profile
You are an experienced financial leader with strong leadership and change management capabilities, ideally from an international and operationally complex industrial environment. You combine business acumen with financial depth, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead both people and transformation. You know the numbers, projects economics and are hands-on when needed, yet strategically focused and comfortable leading through others.
Key qualifications
Strong financial acumen combined with 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in complex, regulated and industrial environments with an international scope.
Deep expertise in business analysis and financial planning, with the ability to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Proven transformational leadership capability, with demonstrated success in leading change, developing high-performing teams, and driving enterprise-wide improvement.
Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of building trust and collaborating with key stakeholders; a highly reliable and trusted partner to the CEO, delivering accurate, transparent and independent financial leadership.
High emotional intelligence, detail-oriented and strategically focused, comfortable operating in environments with high demands on reporting quality while proactively supporting growth and future planning.
Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build financial literacy across the organisation.
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
