Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and ensure that all food safety standards are met. This role is crucial in supporting our kitchen operations, particularly in catering and restaurant settings. Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
• Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
• Participate in catering events as needed, providing support in food preparation and service.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a culinary role or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with food safety practices and dietary guidelines is a plus.
• Experience working in catering or restaurant settings will be beneficial.
• A willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field is essential.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
